A possible patch 1.3.3 has gone up on the PTR (public test realm). From the looks off it, they are trying to balance the Protoss 4-gate by increasing the warpgate research time.
PROTOSS
- Archons are now a massive unit.
- Pylon power radius has been decreased from 7.5 to 6.5.

Cybernetics Core

- Research Warp Gate time increased from 140 to 180.

Gateway

- Sentry train time decreased from 42 to 37.

- Stalker train time decreased from 42 to 37.

- Zealot train time decreased from 38 to 33.

- Warp Gate unit train times remain unchanged.

TERRAN

- Salvage resource return reduced from 100% to 75%.

Ghost

- Cost changed from 150/150 to 200/100.

ZERG
Spore Crawler

- Root time decreased from 12 to 6.

- I’m ok with the bunker change if it consoles the weeping zergs
- I’m excited about the ghost change. Easier to mix them in with mech on fewer bases now.
- Warp Gate change has some promise, especially in PvP, but also in the other Protoss match-ups. So hopefully Dark Lord will stop 4-gating to victory every game against me now >.>

I think blizzard should make it so there would be some want to still use gateways after warpgates were researched. Like make gateway time reduced by like 5 seconds after warpgates were finished, that way you could field troops faster but you couldn’t teleport them across the field.

I don’t kinda like the decreasement of build time for all the T1 Protoss units, but it might be well thought out though with the WG nerf and such.. Just – kinda sceptic about that one..

The Spore and the Ghost thing – it IS a good Idea IMO.. T.B.H – just waited the Day for when Ghosts would cost 100 gas instead of 150.. 200/100 – seems quite fair though..

AND – THIS is something I really don’t like either: Fixed a bug where players were still able to stack flying units on top of each other.

As I remember – Blizzard used to CRACK THEIR OWN ENGINE CODE to allow stacking and it became a bug now.. not good

I’m not quite sure about the toss changes but I really like the other race changes

ghosts are kinda underused it seems so cutting gas should bring them into play more

they have to tweak the bunker in some way each time but it does make sense to not get 100% back

and spore/spine burrow time was ridiculous so glad they at least changed one of them, i guess if spines got changed they’d be used offensively more often or something idk

Like what they did with warp gate changes. Now I won’t have a army proxy warped in front of my base just because i missed a corner, and instead more likely to have proxy gateways.

Same here, I’m thinking it has to do with pylons right next to ramps.

Also, TLO got buffed. Imagine if he does a ghost mass vs. IdrA?

my pvp opening just become so much stronger…..
that 5 zealot 8 stalker build are gonna be the new 4-gate
and the archon build is going to be more popular

p.s. not sure how i feel about the ghost cost change….

it feels weird…

A lot of terrans has double standard when it comes to anything that threaten the viability of MMM.

Pretty sure Stim is 210. Terran also doesn’t have Chrono Boost.

last I checked on TLwikipedia, it’s 170, the last patch increase the research time from 140 to 170.
